Laura, Caitrin & family in New Hampshire

Tuesday July 10th, I left VT and drove to New Boston, NH, to visit Mom & Lisa & Dan.  Right away the girls jumped into the toys that were their cousins' long ago!

Weds July 11th - we go to the local library for Story Hour - it was great!

Back at home, story hour with Grammie!

That little dolly high chair was in my bedroom when I was a little girl, but originally had been bought for Lisa for her dollies in the late 1950's.

We were in the pool when they arrived!

 Auntie LaLa!
Estelle & her cousin once removed, Skylar (who will be 3 in a few days, so only a few months younger than Léna).

Michel takes Sky in for a dip.
Baby Chloé, meeting us all for the first time.  This little gal and I are both born on June 13th!
Caitrin, doing the mommy thing with much more energy than me.  Maybe I should have started younger!

Léna looking sheepishly up at her cousin Caitrin, and Chloé (Léna's cousin once removed).

Michael brings her West Virginia talents to New Hampshire:  he whittles Estelle a wood & grass whistle. She then falls in love with him.  And his crazy beard.  If only he would let me snip it off!
 Auntie Lisa & Auntie LaLa!
 Chloé needs a cuddle...
Léna also needs a cuddle but Uncle Dan has other plans....

Michael & Caitrin on the day of their 4th wedding anniversary!  After this, Laura took them all to Maine.   Michael has incredible eyes!  He also is burned into my memory with 2 wonderful quotes: (said with a long W.V. drawl)  "Baby done gone & broke her eye" and "I'd like to meet him in a dark alley".
It was SO WONDERFUL to see them all.  Thanks to Lisa & Dan for hosting a houseful!

July 8 & 9

Where did we leave off?  Sunday July 8th, we went for dinner at my dad's old farm on Aldrich Lane, now owned by my friends Rob & Celena Coleman:

Or playing on the kitchen floor, where my father played as a child:
Or pretending to be a horse, with a lollipop:
Iris and Estelle are 3 days apart:
The stairs.  To think that my father, his father, his mother, and her father all were children going up and down these stairs.  It's amazing.
Monday July 9th.  A relaxing day with Aunt Joanie.

 Heather comes for pizza dinner:

And a little hula hoop action:
This hula hoop was Martha's early birthday gift to Estelle and it did see quite a bit of fun this summer!

Here is our lovely Glover host, looking thru deck railings that I helped Wes nail on back when he owned the house:

Playing in the early evening summer sunlight:
Nothing more fun than a bath with your best cousin:

Equally great:  bedtime story with Joanie
And this is what two little cousins look like once they've fallen asleep:

Up next: off to New Hampshire!
