Saturday in Nice

It all began with banana-bran muffins, filmed by Lisa, sideways. She forgot my instructions about holding the camera horizontally - but we DID get rid of the clicking at least!

Here's our little Léna who is filling out nicely lately . This onesie is too small now!

Then Estelle, Lisa and I bopped over to Eze, a famous perched medieval village just east of Nice. The sun was lovely, a great breeze blowing - perfect morning to stroll around. Here are a ton of photos:

On the side of the route we drove on. Behind Lisa you see the peninsula of Cap Ferrat, some of the most expensive real estate around.....

Here we are in Eze, looking down.

Chess, anyone?

Shots of the cemetery in Eze...

The bridge to Eze....
Inside the chapel lighting a candle for WHA:

We don't have any photos of Lisa's solo excursion out and about this afternoon when she went into the old town for some last minute souvenir shopping whilst the rest of us napped. Too bad, since she went all over the place!

Dinner tonight was savory crepes made by Thomas, and asparagus....
All good things must come to an end......boo hoo.

Thank you for giving us the final tour of what must have been a wonderful week for you, Julie, as well as Lisa. You both look beautiful, especially with the cape behind you and gorgeous flowers. Estelle seemed to really enjoy herself, and tell Thomas that I could eat at least 2 of those crepes, as they look yummy! Love, Martha, Mom and Anna

I think it is remarkable the way Thomas can make jokes in a language other than his own.

My other brothers-in-law are native English speakers (or a close approximation thereof) and I don't understand their jokes at all!

Thank you for taking good care of Lisa this week!

Lisa got a lot of great pics of you and Estelle. I think Lena looks even more like Thomas than Estelle does, except for her nose.

Ah...hate to see it end, and Lisa, too, I bet...those shots of the old city and cemetery were beautiful!!
Loved the sideways looks at making muffins. Julie, I would have called them muffin "tins"--
see you soon, before you know it!
