Tea for Two

This weekend:
Tea time with Daddy:
Making a drawing:

Practicing letters:

Saturday evening: we had a dinner party with Cathy & her husband Francois and little Marie & her mommy Sylvie (no photos of the adults!). Marie is a year older than Estelle and they are in different schools now so we need to make an effort to have them play:

I made cheesecake. Again.
Today: Housewarming for Thomas' Australian co-worker Joanna where she is subletting in nearby St. Laurent du Var. Lots of kids - lots of fun!

The little girl next to me in the photo above is the daughter of a woman who was my student - 8 years ago! Yowza. Here's Joanna, ever the cool and relaxed hostess (she's a yoga instructor as well as doing computers).
Hmm. Holding court?
Friday afternoon, me and Lena:

What else happened: Hockey practice. Sewing (still). Swimming lessons. France advancing to the Final for the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand after a somewhat pathetic win over Wales Saturday morning. Champagne on Saturday and Sunday = not so bad.

Estelle's handwriting is very nice. Much better than Cole's. And he's 7.

Nice to see Thomas havng tea party with Lena. Sweet.

Haven't watched the little video yet, as I don't want to disturb hubby watching "Masterpiece Mystery" on TV.

Loved the tea party the girls had with Daddy, Estelle's writing, and all the little girls looking at Estelle as if she was in charge in the photo of the girls all sitting in a circle on the floor.

Hmm.Estelle is charge of the tea ladies...she is her mother's daughter! Loved hearing Lena talk about her imaginary tea guests.
Lisa-get some headphones. That's what I do at night so I can watch all the little videos while Paul watches sports, etc..

Mom and I watched the video of Lena this morning and it was adorable! She has so much to say! Very cute little girl!

Grammie says she understood most of it, even though it was in French!

I want to be a little girl growing up in your house...painting time, dressing up, tea parties, people parties, playing make believe doctor...it all makes you long for good old childhood!!!
Loved all the pictures and the two little munchkins (one babbling away in French!) in France.

video was adorable...could just eat that little girl right up! And, again, I see so much of a young Eliza in Estelle!
Love,
Mary :)

Ditto Mary on how much Estelle looks like Eliza at her age! Eliza was bossy too, amoungest her peers! Love that Lena wants to be a doctor someday! Might help pay your bills!! Notice that she doesn't like to play with the instruments that can inflict pain, like a syringe! Delightful to watch her in action and serving gateau to her guest! Thanks, Julie for the entertainment. Love it!
